of ashes and fire

shadows dancing in my head

running and skipping along

they have no faces

as they sing a chilling song

bridges are burning

no sign of life is near

just the haunting shapes

crushing me with fear

the wind carries the sound

a fire spreads the sky

the world is set in flames

wall of ash moments before I die

all  buildings crumble

torching smell of flesh and concrete

not a hope to be thought

no children playing ,people walking the street

the shadows quit dancing

the faceless stare is silently ill

knowing we have met our end

the plague of hate has enjoyed its full

the shadows whisper ,I hear the voice

mans greed mans desire for war

closing the final chapter, the last page

of ashes and fire then nothing more
