ASK AND REPLY

Many people ask and some people reply 
Were you afraid that it was your turn to die
The replies are sometimes blunt and short
Answered with sorrow that's sad to report 

Some replies are longer and in fine detail 
Again with sadness on such a huge scale
What do people ask is what I hear you say
I refer to 9/11 and where you were that day 

The people it affected still carry the scars 
Bottle their emotions and store in glass jars
I don't want to ask for it will make me upset
Knowing only a bad reply is the thing I'll get
