Ask for the path
The day is at hand
Everything is clinging as clangour
The wing is mixed with hazard
Majority standing in-between
Minority sombre with facade
From inchoation had I known this day
When history records the insensate act
Nature swift the feet of human conscience
In search of unwavering personality
To reward discipline as panacea
Cause and effect
had I set as watchdog
Weighing the sequel
Asking of what end
Alack
For the desinence of the soul
Alas
For the penitance of the conscience
Have they conceal in their heart
But I say
Many will stride on that path
Many will stem on the path
Other will thirsty for the path
Never be carried away by the path
Always ask for the reason of the path

What an interesting take on Valentine’s Day. We ate crab legs and watched a movie for Valentine’s Day. I am impressed with the vocabulary words. I was busy looking up the words and I found out, I have a lot more to learn. Literature is fantastic, you never read the same poem twice. Each poem is like a piece of blown glass, each unique in its development and form. You have a way with words. The only suggestion I could give for this particular poem is to bring out Valentine’s Day more in the poem. Possibly showing a couple celebrating, or how commercial the holiday has truly become. There are great expectations in some house holds about Valentine’s Day. Good work Steve.
