Assault At Peppers

Assault At Peppers

So early on Sunday morning, a horrid monster there appeared;
In the Oregon District of Dayton, Ohio, by such hatred he was steered!
He opened fire on many people, nine Souls so quickly died;
Then he sought entrance to “Ned Peppers”, but thank God, it was denied!
.
Six brave cops with guns ablazin, prevented this demon his entry;
They killed him before he could continue, with his monstrous travesty!
Had they not responded so very quickly, and stopped him in his tracks;
Multitudes more would have been murdered, by this heathen’s planned attack!
.
This poet weeps for our dear city, the foundation of his youth;
So long ago, without such incidents, this metropolis based on truth!
But the World is changing quickly, we sob as it declines;
No longer what it once was, no longer yours or mine!
.
.
We have no control
Our World is filled with hate
Slaughter of the lambs

Our Dear Friend Greg,

I'm afraid you are absolutely right!  It's a World gone mad, and these tragedies are becoming far too commonplace.  Oh, how we miss The Villages, where we always felt so safe.
Oh, how we miss our dear friend Greg too!

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx
