At Last

At Last

When one knows only the blackness
Of eternally damned despair,
It is hard believe if the light one sees
Is even really there.

Hope is a foreign word to I,
But now I feel I could fly
With a little chance, for sure.
Is that a flicker of hope I see?

When one knows only the blackness
Of the night of forever,
One does not recognise
The warmth and comfort of light and life.

But this wretched soul may indeed
Have a chance to learn,
For I think I see that blinding
Brightness of the hope, a turn.

The light at the end of the tunnel
Is, at last, in sight.

Hello Lucy...

The light at the end of the Tunnel...

I know that Tunnels can seem real long and winding, but every Tunnel has two openings...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...
