AT THIS TIME!
Every so often
Especially at this time of the year!
You`ll meet someone who`s life has simply been ripped apart
Their lonely world just lays shattered
You can actually see all that pain behind their tears
Their soul is so battered and torn!
Where once beat a bright happy heart
There is now just a terrible storm!
So they lock themselves up tight
Away from the world
To try to hide all that pain
But their hurt simply lays there bleeding just the same
A gaping wound with all their misery unspoken
The pain is eating away at their soul
They are unable to see any freedom from it in sight
Please don`t turn your back on them and just walk away!
Take a little time out from your day
To try to understand their plight
Give them comfort where you can
Show them compassion by showing that you care
Give them your love to try and help ease their pain
Don`t just keep on walking past
For we all have plenty of love to spare
Show them that love is real and freely give yours away
When you see a soul that is crying out for love
Please stop and ask them how you may help
They won`t think ill of you!
They will find relief from those storm clouds above
Just spare a minute to think about them and see what you can do!
Think of how you would feel if it were you in their shoes!
What would you need to relieve that all consuming pain?
What would you want someone to do to help you?
Don`t be afraid to show others your love
For it simply costs nothing!
A little thought and some honest caring for others
Is such a simple but priceless thing!

Reach out and touch someone at this joyous time of year. While most of us celebrate Holiday cheer with our beloved friends and family, there are those that have no joy in their hearts and souls. We can bring light into their lives by giving them the greatest gift of all, some love from their fellow peers. The smiles on their faces will be the greatest gift any of us get for Christmas.
