Authenticity

Acne scars
resembling a fresh ripened garden tomato
Covering natural beauty
with particles of beige and ivory

Frizz-Ease to control
the uncontrollable
frantic, frizzy hair
symbolizing her messy life

Clothes
covered like a potato sack
Body figure round,
as a pear

Hating a body that is screaming for love
Where we were taught to wait in
Those old, pure Pencostal churches

A girl growing too love herself
In a way no man could ever satisfy
Loving the beautifulness of her bare skin shining bright
While she has a smile as wide as the Rio Grande

Her wild untamed hair
fresh from a sea of water droplets
Attributing to her stubborn soul
As she grabs freedom by its wings

Her body figure
curvy as if driving up a step logging road

Eyes resembling her favorite color
Blue and left Wild.
Full of adventure and stubbornness
But as blue as the sky in which an eagle is flying high

A tangled mess of unfinished thoughts and imperfections
Like fluorescent lights in a mess of knots
She is an unraveling story of self-love
and Charism.

A uniquely crafted mind of complexity
That no-one, even herself fully doesn't understand.
