Authority 
When I say that what do you think of
I reckon you think of police, the fbi, the government 
But what about in your own home
I'm not talking parents but siblings 
They say I'm allowed to say this but you're not
You must respect me cause I'm I have more authority 
But do you respect me 
Sure you don't do me harm
But when I ask for one thing I'm a spoiled little brat 
Is a spoiled brat sparing your feelings
Is a spoiled brat doing everything you say
The worse part it's never a question 
You say can you do this
I always say yes
But if I say no...
I'm being disrespectful 
I have to follow your orders cause your authority is to strong 
Who knew a year could give you that
how can we be equal anywhere
When when we can't  in your own home
Does that make sense
You may not be as bad as him
But you did do this to me
Though his are you supposed to change when it's all you ever knew
When the few people who had authority over you 
Abused that power
So you did the same
But what if it happened to their authority figures 
And theirs
And theirs
And so on
Until you realized it traces all back to slavery
Where you would get abuse verbally,mentally and especially physically
What could they do except learn from them
Authority can tear the world apart
Whether it's the own little world or the real one
You learn only to trust yourself 
cause if you do trust someone 
They would have authority over you
But sometimes we have to trust whether we like it or not
Building trust us important for us as human beings
But you would have to give some of yourself as well as receive someone
Don't let anyone have too much authority 
But not too little also
Sometimes you have to risk it 
You just gotta give sometimes 
Because in the end you get more than you give
And karma good or bad is gonna catch up to you
So when someone tells you to do something say
I'm trusting you to not take advantage of me
Say that would mean they have authority over you
And it's okay not to always be in control
But you can slightly push the boat
Therefore you also have authority 
But what's the point of authority 
Why should you have authority over someone 
Or vice versa 
Nobody should have authority 
Having authority over someone could give you power
But you don't need authority to have power
What you do need is commitment 
You have to be able to go the distance 
And you need to be social 
Power in numbers
Standing together gives you authority
