Autumn

Autumn leaves,
Birds and bees.

Rabbits in their warrens,
Squirrels in their trees.

Sun shining down in the bright blue sky,
Wind blowing through the hair of the people passing by.

Start of the football season,
And the new school year.

Conkers in the playground,
Bring smiles and cheer...

Raindrops on the windows,
Inside cosy and warm.
Listening for the thunder,
Waiting for the storm.

Walks in the woods,
With the ones you love most.

Warming in front of the fire,
With some nice tea and toast.

Suddenly getting colder,
Winter is coming.

Autumn is over,
It will soon be snowing.

For now we just have to wait, 
for the other 3 seasons to pass,

Winter, spring, summer
Then autumn again at last.....
