Poem -

Autumn ember

A Brisk chill reminds
The bright sun in sky of season,
I walk among the trees
Feet hidden, ankles met by leafs
Like glowing embers they lie
Fallen from above,
Another year slowly burns out
Do you feel it to?
Darkened drawn in night
Depression of winters hold on route
To hold a final ember
For hold in promise the next bloom
