Poem -

Busy streets, lonely souls

I wander the streets the city so loud
A blanket of faces only move
For a scowl
And as I see through them
With no blink of an eye
Dawns on me sadly
What we become and why
No time for strangers who occupy floor
Banished by life by those who want more
Devils in Windows ghouls on the make
Hurry inside for this seasons of the take
Heads staring down screens and a frown
This new world expects
A life full of pressures
We only exist
I stand back I ponder
The world at a glance
Deciding my future forgetting my past
Life is so precious and live it I shall
Leaving this world with a smile not a scowl
