Autumn's End

Autumn's End

Memories of a summer day

with fun filled times gone by

green grass around your feet

under a bright blue sky

Children playing in the park

nostalgic laughter on the breeze

feel the air changing

and colouring the leaves

Burning orange red and brown

falling to the ground

so begins a season

with natures secrets to be found

Shorter day and

darkening night

sweet remembrance of evenings light

Whispers of another time

floating on a thought

stay with us until forever

lived instead of taught

Finally the trees are bare

and call for Autumns end

clouds are weeping for tomorrow

as a new winter now to tend
