Avoiding The Drop

When before me lay that drop into the abyss,

I found the truth of what continually matters !

Then, I understood all the beauty I would miss,

If death took me from earths limitless wonders !

I realized when the end was at its very closest,

Those reasons to stay here and resume fighting !

This life has so much to offer, even the weariest.

In the darkest hour a dawn was fast approaching.

In the worst situation you cannot afford to falter.

You must rise above what threatens your survival.

You must keep breathing, unwilling to surrender.

You can appreciate all that you have, and not fall !
