AWAKENING

The light that fell through the crevice
Darkened the beam of life
That lay muffled in the solitude
Of my mind
Till several such crevices
Coalesced together in my soul
Decanting the dregs of ennui
The slumbering vestiges of lethargy
Their iridescence burying the raven
And I drew myself into you
