Baby Ballerina

Tutus, pointe shoes, Plies, Air, en l’ Ballerina buns and tied back hair. Baby ballerina, You took up a Pas de deux. Your partner was mysterious, Perhaps a little scary too, You trusted him, leaped with him, loved him Across the stage, flawless and magical, Into the shadows, Oh the disaster was classical. Pirouette into despair. I watched you crumble, I watched you transform. Where is your pink tutu, What is with this thing that has been born? Baby ballerina. From glitter to grunge, A tragic thing she did create, Grace to chaos, I watched her dissipate. Sprouting new black feathers, Where is your innocence, Residing, enrapturing dance, One of beauty and innocence, To dead, monsterlike trance, Black Swan, Morphed, Where have you gone?
