My interpretation of Tony Taylorβs powerful poem βAmber Butterflyβ
As I ingested this powerful work of art
I did get a certain vibe
But I was afraid I had misinterpreted it
So, I checked out the Cosmo tribe
.
I saw that no one understood it
Saying, they could not garner its intent
Which prompted me to write this poem
And my take about what it meant
.
Like the butterfly, that lives but thirty days
You feel that love will never last
You have found your treasured Soulmate
But you are threatened by your past
.
For you have given your heart freely
And have opened up your Soul
Only to have them shattered
By the one that you extolled
.
But this writer knows that now is the moment
You can bare it once again
For this time, it is the real thing
Her whole life with you, sheβll spend
.
.
Fear not my dear friend
You have found your true Soulmate
Your joy eternal

Sir LARRY!!.....I Love your take on it..... and I have to say that in interpreting it for yourself you have written quite a fine piece of poetic verse that stands tall in and of itself!!Β I can see why you might have thought this because Cherie and I do write for and about each other often just not in this instance.....Β it's is one of those 'wide-open' interpretive writes that I sometimes do to allow the reader's mind to create on its own!!...... By providing the imagery for the mind's eye to find its way into my intent!!.... WHEW!!Β I was sweating bullets that you might not like it.Β It is a relief, that you left it open for our minds own interpretations.Β Always, when I read one of your powerful works, it is a great challenge to dissect it correctly.Β Of course, as you say, on some of them, they are wide open for the reader to discern.Β Thank you for your much appreciated adulation.
