Bad Days to Die

Bad Days to Die

Oh to die on a day
when it is a slow
news day or there is
no breaking news such
as an assasination attempt,
the start of a war,
the bombing of a federal building,
a natural disaster,
death of a superstar,
successful assasination or
a mass shooting.

In 1979 I was the 10th
caller of the WKAP Radio
Station in Allentown Pa
and won the Tom Petty
Album  "Damn the Torpedos."

Such a rush for a
13 year old to have his
name announced
ver the air waves
of the Lehigh Valley -
and winning a free album!

Such a shame that Petty
to died on the day
of a Las Vegas mass shooting
with 58 killed and 500 shot
and was not given the
proper credit and respect
he deserved on
October 2nd, 2017.

It was a sad day
for family and friends
of the Vegas 558,
and for the legacy of
Tom Petty.

'any' day is a bad day to die, James, I like your story about winning the album, Tom Petty was a true original, I liked some of his music a lot....R.I.P to a really cool musician who left way to soon, cheers man, good write

Thanks Chris.  As they say,  "Any day above ground is a good day,"  but I also am a member of COMPASSION AND CHOICES.....b/c should my life become so unbearable in regards to pain  (cancer,  Lou Gerigs disease, etc) ....I would like the choice to end my life.

My Petty favorites are American Girl,  Free Fallin, and Don't Do Me Like That.
