Bad Karma

Bad Karma

O all these superficial souls!
They are like children at the gate
leading to the Garden of Love;
who cannot force themselves to pray,
yet will not go away. They're always
distracted by trivial things.
that never fill their empty days.
I guess they'd like their hearts to sing
sweetly like the birds, but they lack
the wisdom and the patience to
Do anything worthwhile about that.
They're constantly looking for new,
quick thrills, but when they age and turn grey
and frail, it will be too late to change
