BAD LUCK

I saw a lovely black cat cross my path today
Bad luck will now befell me some might say
In the sky there was a magpie and some crows
More bad luck will be heading my way I suppose

Made it to the shops but a mirror I sadly broke
So it's off to the theatre and Macbeth I spoke
This Friday the 13th was a most unlucky night
Walking under that ladder I must adjust my sight

When I arrived home shoes were on the table
More bad luck according to the ancient fable
Thinking to myself it never rains but it pours
That's when I opened my umbrella indoors
