Bad news is really hard to take
Especially if, a life's at stake
To watch the torture and the pain
To see a loved one's spirit wane

A cloud of sadness falls in place
And forms the features of their face
A future grim, all expectations lost
Letting life go, will be the cost

Life regresses, till its essence leaves
Friends and distraught family grieves
But a life's loss, is the soul's gain
