Poem -

BE BRAVE AND STRONG (PULLING TOGETHER)

Almost surreal that I'm not allowed to go outside
Not only in my city but also worldwide
Go shopping if its essential is what I must do
For the prevention of the virus that is certainly true

One week since this announcement was made
Things are not improving I'm getting afraid
I try to be positive but the news gets bleaker
My inner resolve is getting weaker and weaker

My mum is struggling and very much alone
Every day we are thankful for the telephone
Let's all pull together be brave and strong
I know it's hard being indoors all day long

Thank you for sharing such a positive poem. What a breath of fresh air. It sounded very hopeful which is what we need right now. Of course, we have to have a place to write about the not so happy events in life. I’m just glad I found your poem tonight. I was almost in tears after reading so many stories online about people losing their jobs and lives. I think, we are about ready to embark on one of the most inspiring times of the human existence – Maybe, this pandemic will help us in the future be prepared or to help other countries. It’s my hope.
