BE YOURSELF

I love the sun
For all it does
Its beauty, light and strength 

But i will never want to be the sun 
For its lack of feelings 
And emotions it cannot vent

I admire those that are called masterminds 
With an IQ higher than stars
But someone must be able to communicate
To those that are in prison 
And held captive behind bars

I'll never envy a gifted soul 
For such are you and I
But i must first see that gift in me
Or in me that gift would die

I am unique and special too
Born with purpose and gifts like you
But the best person I can be is myself 
For a counterfeit will always be missing
