Beast within me

There's a beast sleeping within me
It sneers, groan and grumble
You say you want to trust me
How can you?
You give me a sword to go war and said to kill them all
You say you want to help me
How can you?
When you are the one that steers the beast awake
Did you know that this beast strains for freedom
You say you want to love me
How can you?
I'm afraid of myself for I'm the one that created it
This corrupt land will release this beast
So whilst I'm conscious kiss me one last time and please run!
