Because of you

It's because of you I feel more the cool
Beneath the fan on the bed at night,

Then I smile thinking of you in Cairns.

How I read you had to shower in cold water

To fall asleep in the humidity you said

A knife can cut through.

You must be looking up from the bed at night

To the fan,

Hands on your chest, hair tied back.

Maybe I could never deal with that, the heat

And the fact that I'm Southerner as they come.

You say your core temp shoots up

And that's why your used to sleeping

With the ceiling fan going round

While I think, I just like the white noise.

How it saves me from listening to myself.

I didn't see this as comedy R. Last line of course, as always. I cannot sleep without white noise... because it does...x

I do love your reflections, something very relaxing in this one, maybe the fan going round in the heat, we sure get hot here in summer.  Of course your voice quite subtle in it's genius.
