Becoming the man you wanted to see

Becoming the man you wanted to see

Becoming the man you wanted to see,

Now I catch your eyes undoubtedly.

But the chance has sailed out to sea,

So far gone, my ears can’t hear a single plea.

There’s always a reason for letting go,

I always thought I couldn’t let you do so.

But your person isn’t what I had seen,

No longer the one you could have been.
