Life's Soldier

Life's Soldier

Life’s soldier wallows plainly.

Drifting through missions his mind un-tamely.

Frozen in his motion while body eroding

Eyes scan and shoot in falseĀ duty.

Trophied memories turn into gunpowder.

Giving ammunition against the nuclear heat of depression.

His mind obscures his sight, turning heel against itself.

No haven to be seen in a world of sorrow.

For this world contains but no resolution.

Religion gives mistaken reason.

Nor does it give the mind a new season.

Life a war.

Scarring all.

No escape.

No victory.

But the happiness in death.

Grim though beautifully clear as night.

Is doubted for it’s over powered right.
