Playground Wars

Playground Wars

In red stripes these kids played.

Playground full of fun.

Up until as per usual, alliance came undone.

At first petty names were screamed like formal letters signed.

And faces superior watched.

They wanted something, these faces. And something is what they got.

Arms were raised. As rockets were thrown. With their missions to kill.

The casualties did not matter, in the moment it was merely a thrill.

Grappling and striving for victory. Words used like freak and dictator.

These kids forgot their mission but continued all the same.

The abuses flew as old wounds were opened.

And kamikazed from the sky.

These kids they fought till the close, where one of them need die
