Bee

He looked so sad and confused

Staggering along the blades of grass like an ice addict

I held out a finger to take away his loneliness

He rolled into my palm

I felt him grasp the ridges of my wrinkles

It tingled

I looked on and said a prayer

He struggled to clean himself while sipping my sweat

Cleaning himself from the chemical spray on my neighbour's lawn

I sensed bee knew I was friend not foe

Holding him in my heart as much as in my hand

Conveying him gently to the afterlife as he did a final buzz

Released his last thoughts

Wow Al. Such a wonderful write on such a tiny important creature. Its powerfully beautiful and sad at the end. You have truly captured life and compassion in whatever form and size life can be in, it is all equally important that we care for all creatures. I just love the simplicity of this and its deeper meaning. Ssssoo pinned! Px💜 #nature #life #love 🐝 buzzzz
