Poem -

Before it's Gone

I wish to experience it all
before it is gone

Skydive, travel,
Love on and on

I want every job
Every person to meet

I wish to explore the whole world
And taste every eat

I want to know every language,
To conquer my Everest

Do you think I can?
I'll do my best.

For how should I know how the end is?
 To take me heartless?

Soon? Or later?
With light or with darkness?

But before it is gone.
I must experience it all.

Fame, fortune,
All before I fall.

But how can I do so?
As expected to attend

A fourth of my life stolen
A fourth I cannot defend

From a place of learning
Or so they say

For I learned much more
While I was away.

In order for me to see it all
I must experience now as well

Before it's gone,
Before I fall.
