Poem -

Beginning of an end.

Beginning of an end,
The last day of an age,
The war no-one can wage,
The waiting we extend.

The end has begun,
The end we all feared,
But watched as it neared,
A demise homespun.

The end is here,
The Earth's revolt,
That we foretold,
And engineered.

At the end,
We shift blame,
In the flame,
We pretend.

The end,
Repent,
Lament,
Descend.

End,
Earth,
Hearth,
Friend.

We ensured our end,
Through our carbon waste,
And our Earth defaced,
You have wrought your own end.
