~ Behind The Eclipse ~
~sanity's edge ~

I'd always,
(always)
Longed to step out
From behind the sun,
To reveal myself
To myself
(in orbit)
Around quixotic ideas
And years of creativity
Left behind me in a trail
(that dime store novel)
Of glistening bread crumbs
That lead me back
To classical notations,
To the poetry of me,
Of me and my life
As I began
To pick up tiny pieces
And to work hard at
Puzzling them back
Together again....
I started to teach myself
To myself,
(and began)
To appreciate what I had done
Even though
I hadn't done it
Purposefully,
I had really become
That which I had been
Frightened of becoming....
An artist,
(with forgotten words)
Strewn across the fabric
Of a very long
Effort,
And now,
Finally,
I saw myself
Emerging,
From behind the sun....
Fist, clenched,
That afterbirth,
Bursting from beneath
The surface of
Sanity's edge,
(the eclipse of my life)
That heavy tattoo
That I had painted
On the heart of me,
I had carried it for so long
The heavy burden,
That I would happily
Bare again
Into the realm of the sun,
And the moon's
Magical kiss,
Which sadly, I missed
While hiding
(happily)
Behind the eclipse...

I can seriously feel electricity whilst reading this, an enormity of enthusiasm on every line. Inspiring, and as a fan of space, moon and all the glory this magnificent world has to offer I will say Kudos for the metaphor and thank you for sharing yourself from behind this magnificent Sun. 🌹
WOW, nice work Tony. One of your better ones imho.
I enjoyed reading this deep dive delve into yourself using the metaphor of the universe, my favourite topic :) Great philosophical read. Px
How did imiss this one?
Hello Tony! Excellent writing and I am glad I found it. Full of meaning. My thinking is…a poem without meaning is just pretty words.
Greetings from Bernadete
I had to read this several times so I could truly absorb it and feel the deeper meaning. I am sad. I am happy. I am satisfied. I went through a gamut of emotions....line by glorious line. Thank u for taking me on a journey into your thoughts. Beautifully written.
Hey Liz!!......I haven't been around at all lately.
As I have gotten such good news about my
health this very day I am so happy to reply to
your kind comment. I am a complete seeker
of truth beyond the truth and I am so tickled
that you have found some light in my words...I try
so very hard to convey the small truths.
You have made me smile this day....Thank
you beyond words!!......lots of respect....T xo : )
