BEHIND THE GLASS WINDOW

BEHIND THE GLASS WINDOW

I see you pass by every day at five
And anticipating your arrival
My heart races wild inside

I am no stocker
But my mind can recall
Your colorful handbags
And changes of apparels

To me you are a goddess
Which makes me feel inferior
Nevertheless, I long to be with you
Even if it's a lifetime of danger

And as you pass by each day
Your smile is like a breath of fresh air
With your hair blowing in the wind
I can hear my heart sing

I am hoping one day
To have courage instead of shame
Rolling my wheelchair from my window
If just to ask you
Your name.

Wilford Barker.
