Poem -

Being Young

Young and free? If only, I wish,

Your future is suppressed - bursting at the seams,

A ticking time bomb, Tick tock,

Some much pressure I am heaving under,

Lugging around like the school bag on my shoulder,

Exams and tests swarm around me like a colony of wasps,

Freedom, alas, is a rarity, the rarest of moments,

Think I've got time off? They fill it with homework,

Another sheet and I swear my brain will run out of capacity,

Looking at the silver lining, I see that I'm more appreciative,

And time of leisure, I have to spare, is savored like never before.
