Belongings

As I look at your belongings my heart tears open.
I ask why this monstrous injustice had to happen.
The enormity of it all is painfully overwhelming,
Thoughts of seeing you no more too frightening !
.................................................
The cruellest hand played to take you from me,
Has changed life beyond recognition so scarily !
I ask how I shall cope with the loneliest future,
As around me are the grim reminders of horror.
.................................................
Nothing matters here, in that way it once did !
From the worst of the aftermath I naturally hid.
What can I take from this to lessen my sorrow ?
To have love back I would beg, steal or borrow.

All have to come to terms with losing someone at some point in their lives. My heart goes out to those who are suffering grief at this moment.
So pleased you liked the way I tackled this topic.
Best wishes to you. :)
Hey Richard love is definitely worth everything even ending in a tragic way . Reminds me of my grandpa's wife who passed away at age 45 of a brain aneurysm and never remarried because he said that was the love of his life . I respect my grandpa immensely and your work also . Very touching and tragic . Rock
Hug. It's tragic that you can relate to this piece in such a manner. My heart goes out to you for suffering loss and grief.
Warmest wishes to you my friend. Take care.
