Legends of Avalon: The Fourth Knight: The Ocean’s Lyre

Legends of Avalon: (Teal – Sir Tristan de Lyonesse)

Legends of Avalon: The Fourth Knight: The Ocean’s Lyre

Beneath the cliffs where sea winds cry, And gulls through stormlit heavens fly, A child was born ’twixt foam and wave, To Cornwall’s coast, both fair and brave.

Of noble blood and lineage rare, He learned of loss, of love, of care. For fate had carved with bitter hand, A path of sorrow through the sand.

The minstrels taught his heart to play, A harp whose chords could night allay. Each note he plucked was ocean’s sigh, Each song a prayer the gods passed by.

His sword, like surf on steel was cast, Through tides of war, his trials amassed. He rode for honor, never fame, For Cornwall’s pride and Arthur’s name.

When Camelot’s banners kissed the breeze, He came before the king with ease. His gaze was calm, his spirit mild, Yet fierce as storm — the ocean’s child.

He knelt before the throne with grace, The sea still whispering through his face. And Arthur saw, through wave and flame, A heart unbent, a noble name.

Thus knighted he by royal hand, To guard the realm and sea-wrought land. His color shone — the hue of tide, Where sky and ocean’s souls collide.

And in the court, his glance did stray, To one whose eyes like dawn did play. A love unspoken, soft, concealed, A wound the ocean never healed.

Then Merlin raised his crystal sphere, Its light did dance from far to near. The teal flame stirred, serene, inspired, As destiny through mist conspired.

Merlin spoke: “Four flames now burn — of loyal fire, Of golden dawn, of pure desire, Of ocean’s lyre — hearts intertwined, Each bound by fate the stars designed.”

And as the teal light crowned the Round, Four stones now shone where fate was found. Crimson, gold, divinity, and sea-born hue — Four knights had risen, steadfast and true.

Thus sang the waves of Lyonesse, Of Tristan’s heart and godliness. Forever bound by sea and sky, The Ocean’s Lyre shall never die.
