Legends of Avalon: The Fifth Knight; The Flame of Resolve
Legends of Avalon: (Bronze – Sir Kay)

When dawn first broke on Avalon’s keep, And knights in dreams their vows did keep, One stood apart, both stern and wise, With fire like sunset in his eyes.
Sir Kay, the first to Arthur’s side, His foster-brother, heart and guide. From boy to man through trials vast, His loyalty like iron cast.
No minstrel sang his deeds of grace, Nor praised his wit, nor smiling face. Yet in the hall when tempests grew, It was his strength the kingdom knew.
Bronze burned his soul — not gold, not flame, But tempered light that none could tame. Through countless wars his courage shown, A pillar carved of heart and bone.
He raised his sword through years of strife, To guard the king who gave him life. Though pride oft clouded love’s pure gleam, His faith endured through every dream.
When others faltered, he stood tall, A steadfast tower in Camelot’s hall. For though his name the bards forgot, His deeds outshone their fragile lot.
Then Merlin’s hand, in twilight’s air, Drew bronze-born light from mortal care. It rose — a spark of grounded might, A flame that burned with endless fight.
Merlin spoke: “Now five flames burn — of loyal fire, Of golden dawn, divine purity, ocean’s lyre, And bronze of will, unbent, entire.”
And as the fifth light joined the Round, Its glow through every heart was found. Crimson, gold, divinity, and sea-born hue, Bronze joined their circle — steadfast and true.
