Poem -
Beneath Her Pretty Dress
before anyone gets any bright ideas, this is for my daughter who is expecting my first grandchild in July ..
Now isn’t that
truly something else
something
wonderful no less ..
While no longer
taught and flat
but lightly bowed
and more
convex perhaps ..
I hereby do confess
I am already
very much in love
with what has
just begun to show ..
But for now
at least, kept safe
and warm and hid ..
Beneath her
pretty summer dress ..
