Poem -

beneath his skin.

He no longer desired me
I had become a tree abandoned
My leaves lay weeping
Even when the breeze kissed warmly
He lay me with willingness of non
Beneath the sun

Though many shadowing eyes were upon me
Begging for the chance to dance
my lovers card was full of discretion
not one note of solace heard

what was I to become
a vision through a paintglass Window
growing weaker still by the hours light

I had no choice but to choose
my roots thickened enough to fight

I began to sprout words my heart
could not recognize
my soft green soul was in soil
turmoil surrounded like pesticides
crushing the rose memory
I clung to tight

ripped out of the earth I called my home
seeking not vengeance
but a place to call my own
this tree once Barron no more
To sore higher than heights imagined

I was alone once more

my dress of floral across the floor
desire had seeked my complexion once more
music played long into the night
engaging with the stars above

This card he held within his hands
grew red roses blooming with love

A once undesirable tree
Confined this soul in me, to be free
no longer bound to the ground in darkness
laying down my leaves of green

opened up to bloom and grow
a tall and strong wooden heart

no amount of pesticides
could destroy or tear apart
I was home within his garden
nurturing hands cradled not to burn
this trust in me he had
so eagerly earned

I bloom in autumns Orange and red
colours I bear only to him

the shadow from the paintglass window
this face always , looking in
Had taken me beneath
His skin.

Honorable Poetess Nardine Sanderson,

Great write, tree represents the body and its parts, thanks for sharing, I wish to appreciated and feature this poem in my POET'S PEN with your kind permission, my applause, my love, my vote, I love the below lines too

A once undesirable tree
Confined this soul in me, to be free
no longer bound to the ground in darkness
laying down my leaves of green

opened up to bloom and grow
a tall and strong wooden heart

OBSERVATIONS:

We all are the creation of nature. The whole Universe consists of five basic elements----air, water, earth, fire and space. Our body is also made up of these five elements. The life can emerge on any planet where these five elements are present in a balanced state. It will happen only in a Natural Way. This process is continuing for the time immemorial. There are hundreds of galaxies and thousands of planets and stars in the universe.Things can neither be created nor destroyed. science says but changes its form. Similarly soul  changes its body after death.

Regards & much love to your verses,
