Beneath the Surface

How deep is too deep
After your bodys gone weak
Whats missing your confusing me
One minute im what you want
The next your resisting
Due to recent events things are gonna change
I no longer will entertain your games
Or pleasures
Im not desperate but clever
Assumed youd know better 
Ive learned my lesson
No need for protection
We lost our connection
I no longer recognize 
Your actions or what they defined 
So when I look at you I see a stranger

We could have been close
You were growing on me
At some point things changed
That's when I lost my faith
 

We would hang all day
And stay up all night
We'd keep each other company
Just so we werent alone
Together we was all smiles  
Even when we was broke
Like puzzle pieces we fit together
But lately you've been missing
So I feel out of place
Out here on my own 
No music or head phones
To numb the pain of being alone
All I have are memories
Mixed emotions and no hope
To make it worse im still broke
I swear this pain is no joke
