Betrayed by a Kiss
 
One of us betrayed by a kiss
The other lost in blinding mist
 
Our two hearts are entangled together
But will they stand in stormy weather
 
Say that you still love and care for me
In the arms of another how can that be
 
Throw our love to where wild winds blow
I still love you I thought you should know
 
All the twists and turns along the beaten path
Do we have the strength to find our way back?
 
Are we going to let another stand in our way?
Do you think your love will hold me here today
 
Waves of amber wheat across fields of gold
Can you still love me with a broken soul
 
I imagined you as an angel all dressed in white
But where is it you are going to spend the night
 
Do you think true love will ever find it’s way
Will you ever come back into my heart to stay?
 
We truly loved one another until we lost
But was the price we paid worth the cost
 
Life’s but a journey of the heart and soul
Take our broken hearts and make them whole
 
You used to lay naked across my king-sized bed
One night of unfaithfulness is where you were led
 
In one night my loving heart was betrayed
Along that path of love that we both laid
 
It will be a brand new day come sunrise
Come and wipe the tears from your eyes
 
Is our love enough to get us through the night
Still be in one another’s arms come morning light
 
As I spread my loving arms you come inside
It’s on the waves of redemption that we ride
 
Hold me forever like you’ll never let me go
Say that in our hearts our love will grow
