BEWAFA (Unfaithful)

Cheap red nail polish that barely last a day.
Cheap- red-broken-nails.
You dug into them.
Dug the remaining colour out of them.
I watched you ruin them,like the way you did with my mind.
Cheap- red-broken-nails.
You tell me you love me,as sweet as an Afghan tune.
Refuse to hear it when I play the same tune.
Continuous denial?
Or my ears simply betrayed me with a sweet tune?
Pouring my heart out,
shamelessly expecting an apology.
Words returned,
your words,
just words,
empty empty words.
And you call me ‘bewafa’,
when I watched you,
let you,
and tasted you in my mouth.
Only,
you didn’t watch me,
let me,
or taste me.
Oh my dear ‘bewafa’, it WAS your tune I listened and danced to.
All the way-till the very end.

This is very interesting. It portrays pain of betrayal very well. I feel the selfish behaviour of the subject is very prevalent. Thank you for sharing
Thank you!
