Beware the stare

Beware the stare

It was a dark raining night,
Pitter-patter on the roof,
Tucked away in her bed,
Awoken by a boom,
Thunder rolling across the sky.
Lightening flashes,
With a scream,
A shadow stands,
Along the wall,
Could this be death after all.

Desperatley she dares not look,
For the stories have been told,
Beware the Vampire stare,
That if you look upon the glare,
Under a spell you will become.

Just a peek will not hurt,
For this is what she thought,
Just like that t'was too late,
For she had just sealed her fate.

Eyes stayed glued,
She could not move,
Even if she wanted to,
With a smile he did say,
"I have chose you as a bride."
