BEYOND THE VEIL

BEYOND THE VEIL

Beyond the veil of consciousness
beyond this life on earth
I think of a higher place where
death is naught..but..rebirth
This place, many call it heaven
it lies further than any star
And when God calls us home
we know just where we are

It feels as if there`s a golden thread
invisible but connected
The one end lies in our souls
the other end, by him protected
And when our time down here
is through,he gives a little pull
Our bodies go from dust to dust
but to our maker, goes our soul

Of course I cant be certain
if all I have written here is true
But belief in that higher place
and having faith, is all that I can do
As well, I try to be a good person
kindness is nt hard to give
To love thy neighbor to be grateful
and also in peace I hope to live

I would nt say I ve had the easiest
of lives, I ve struggled along the way
But I am thankful with what I was
blessed with, each and every day
So as I think now,I am in the autumn
of life,soon winter will prevail
Death nears,it does nt frighten me
for I believe life begins anew, beyond the veil

My Dear Debs,

We live in veils of darkness, we pray to God above

But are we certain there's a Heaven, and our Savior up above

Sometimes He gives us reason, to doubt what we've been told

That God will always love you, from youth to growing old

No one knows the truthful answer, of whether He sure exists

Some thrive upon His goodness, while others choose subsist

The truth will become apparent, right after our final breath

Are we heading up to Heaven, or is this the finality of Death

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

Truly loved this poem Deborah,

Complete sincerity, (not only to yourself ) but to (God) as well...Rhythm (cascades) off this write galore....Love the way the poetess speaks from the heart and from her personal experiences in life, as she (lives) it....Happy early Easter poetess (Evans).....Jim
