Poem -

BEYOND THE VEIL

BEYOND THE VEIL

Beyond the veil of consciousness
beyond this life on earth
I think of a higher place where
death is naught..but..rebirth
This place, many call it heaven
it lies further than any star
And when God calls us home
we know just where we are

It feels as if there`s a golden thread
invisible but connected
The one end lies in our souls
the other end, by him protected
And when our time down here
is through,he gives a little pull
Our bodies go from dust to dust
but to our maker, goes our soul

Of course I cant be certain
if all I have written here is true
But belief in that higher place
and having faith, is all that I can do
As well, I try to be a good person
kindness is nt hard to give
To love thy neighbor to be grateful
and also in peace I hope to live

I would nt say I ve had the easiest
of lives, I ve struggled along the way
But I am thankful with what I was
blessed with, each and every day
So as I think now,I am in the autumn
of life,soon winter will prevail
Death nears,it does nt frighten me
for I believe life begins anew, beyond the veil

My Dear Debs,

We live in veils of darkness, we pray to God above

But are we certain there's a Heaven, and our Savior up above

Sometimes He gives us reason, to doubt what we've been told

That God will always love you, from youth to growing old

No one knows the truthful answer, of whether He sure exists

Some thrive upon His goodness, while others choose subsist

The truth will become apparent, right after our final breath

Are we heading up to Heaven, or is this the finality of Death

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

HI Debs....I love this!  Your faith is testimony and inspiration!  You just know there is life beyond this one and that there is a God waiting..I LOVE your imagery with the gold thread pulling our soul to Him...God is in control and will protect us on our journey.....It gives us hope and validation that we have great purpose when living in this physical reality...but a much greater love and light beyond this veil....I respect your kind compassionate heart..which shows love of God living inside you....Pinned for the beauty of your faith and honesty....Love n Hugs, xox Cherie

Hi  Cherie I very rare write about God or my faith,
but always take great pleasure in reading your pieces
on your faith and your beliefs, I think i have told you, you teach me a lot about
the bible and so on. and I love that.
I think in the last few years i have had many validating experiences
That God is indeed around me and I embrace it
For me also, I believe there is a place beyond this world
and in other poems I have written I am sure I have been shown little previews
Thank you dear friend for your kind comments and honoring me
with a pin Love N hugs Debs xox

Death nears,it does not frighten me
for I believe life begins anew, beyond the veil

those last two lines went straight through the core of me, such a compelling read, thought provoking , and beyond my conscious attire , I am left to ponder for days...

Superb , I wonder what type of tea do you drink, and also shall you make yourself available for DNA testing ...

Hi  Merrill Those last to lines are exactly how I feel
what i believe is true.
I have nt really  got a type of tea to drink, i like a good tea though
it has to be very strong where you could stand a teaspoon up in it
a tot of milk and two sugars and about ten cups a day haha
Thank you for your lovely words you brighten my day with them
Have a great weekend my friend

Truly loved this poem Deborah,

Complete sincerity, (not only to yourself ) but to (God) as well...Rhythm (cascades) off this write galore....Love the way the poetess speaks from the heart and from her personal experiences in life, as she (lives) it....Happy early Easter poetess (Evans).....Jim
