Beyond the windowpane

Drained from the light
Beyond the windowpane
The endless breaths escape
Frantically searching
for air pockets
Finding empty bubbles
There colours beautiful
And tantalizing
Teasing my suffering
Inviting me to chase them
until nightfall
Once disappearing
for all the stars do speak of rainbows
But never touch the ground
Rays of colours fading away
Into the breaths of bliss
Never to touch the light of day
Floating endlessly night
Into day
The same again tomorrow
As the sun does beckon my call
Under the windowpane
The sun shall watch me crawl.
