BIG JOE

Big Joe walked into a crowded saloon one day
None of the other cowboys stood in his way
Went to the bar and ordered a straight whisky
Served with a delay would have been very risky

Big Joe had stubble and growth under his chin
Shot wanted outlaws with a smile and a grin
Went to the sheriff's office to claim his reward
No doubt about it Big Joe was admired and adored

A cruel twist of fate ended the life of Big Joe
How it all happened many people still don't know
Big Joe is buried by the long and tall oak tree
No longer a threat for the likes of you and me
