BILL CADDICK AND ROY BAILEY

BILL CADDICK AND ROY BAILEY

The many songs written by Bill and Roy
Have given to all so much pleasure and joy
How sad then they both should die yesterday
In this short poem my respects I'll pay

Roy wrote songs for the common working bloke
Always so eloquent and forthright when he spoke
Bill wrote songs on various topics and themes
My favourite has to be John O' Dreams

The music of Roy and Bill will continue to be played
Some of the finest folk songs that ever were made
Folk music fans and followers do not weep or mourn
Let's be grateful these singer songwriters had been born
