Birth, Trials!

You gave me life to explore,
A path to walk,
Challenges that seemed too heavy to bear.
Yet, you held my hand and whispered,
“Everything will be okay.”
Fear swallowed me whole,
Self-doubt clouding my strength and worth.
I gasped for air,
Leaping into the unknown,
Hoping for greatness.
I took risks for others,
Only to be left with scars.
My childhood wasn’t as “amazing” as others,
But I was grateful.
Now, at twenty,
My writing still feels flawed—
Spelling and grammar are a mess.
But I push forward,
Hold my head high,
And keep going.

Hahaha Thank you :)
Hey GWEN!!... I'm not exactly sure I know what your intent is here...... but it felt like the appreciation a child has for its mother....... knowing that she did everything she could to raise her well.... and then she grows and faces the trials and tribulations of life.......I didn't understand the part about the 'writing skills' though....... regardless, I enjoyed the spontaneity of the write Gwen...... It's always interesting to me to see what pops directly out of the mind of a poet I enjoy reading!!....... ALL STARS!!.....thanx for sharing this girlfriend!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo
Thank you so much for understanding it Tony!! It is a appreciation to my mother even though she may not be here with me, She'll always be in my heart and memory in my heart. Haha I'm not very confident with my writing skills because I always self-doubted myself in whatever I do. And I don't know ??? But thank you so much for comment!! I can never comment on your poems like this because I'm always speechless whenever I read it.. But thank u Tony!Â
