Bittersweet Memories ❤️

Song

Bittersweet Memories ❤️

I got to you door and the door was open, with my last memories of our words unspoken

Alll we had was a broken heart that fateful day when we did part

So I stood in the hallway nervously hoping you’d come along to welcome me..

But within the shadows of that lonely room was just my sadness and dismal gloom

Chorus*

And Oh all that is left for me is our songs of melodies, with bitter sweet memories of the way that you and I used to be and..Oh if I could do it all again,  I would change everything, going back to those days of yesteryear, with you by my side and never nothing to fear..

Well I waited around for far too long, with nobody to listen to my song

The lyrics with words I had wrote for you in my desperation when I was blue

So I guessed you had moved on with your life, maybes found someone else to be your wife..

And tho the hurting I was feeling inside, was so much stronger than my strength of pride

Chorus *

So I turned my cheek to walk away, telling myself to forget you that day

But then out of the darkness of that corridor, I recognised your face once more..

And as soon as you saw me standing there, we forgot all our troubles like we didn’t care

You threw your arms around my embrace, in a moment of memory that we could trace..

Chorus *

Another wonderful poem
I seem to get lost in the passion of poetry push to side I feel there’s too many people
I am just as good a writer as all the others
I am not any better than they are but I am feel I am equal maybe I just need to write more

A song and one we all do chorus in life at times of sadness and longing.
Jill a song of shadowy forlorn but ending on that chink of warm light that we all needily deserve , cherish and will always choose to remember.
Thanks Jill for telling how it can be sometimes and the welcoming light at the end of the tunnel. x.
