Blabbermouth

Blabbermouth

Had toiled through the day
Once again, sowing fatigue.
Besides a few yawning stretches
Nothing grew the entire night.

Despite every possible effort
The breaths never seem enough.
Wipe my consciousness everyday
The film of dust refuses to clear.

Even from behind lidded eyes
A lot is constantly seen,
Even after plugging the ears
The noise just doesn’t cease.

Sleep, is such a blabbermouth,
Keeps talking on and on and on,
The accursed scoundrel,
Just doesn’t let me sleep a wink.

The tone, the atmosphere, the sense of unending weariness...perfectly captured and rendered flawlessly.

Kudos.

Loved it.

You know your snoring is out of hand when it wakes you up.

Shukriya Kimmy! That's an interesting interpretation, cause I never thought of snoring when I wrote this!
