Black Eyed Children
Midnight caller banging on my door
Unknown stranger
A dream???
I opened the door
She was slender and pale
mid-teens
long hair, about mid-back
pullover style hoodie
She held the hand of a small girl
next to her who was staring at the floor
overwhelming dread and fear
Somethingย seemed off
the dogs were in a circle growling
can we come in
voiceย was mature, confidant, strong, and accent less
Then I saw her eyes
they were black,ย ย
they were otherworldly
Black Eyes
Can we come in
I backed away from the door
can we please come in!!!
What do I do

A poem dedicated to those children silent black and sad eyes, a poem with multiple readings, staring and afraid of those thousands of black eyes that fleeing from any war, any massacre or any genocide are lost forever in the depths of the sea. Those black eyes tortured to death by racists in uniform of any country and any supposedly democratic city, and also those black eyes that asking for help are ignored and locked in Ghettos.
A greeting and congratulations on the poem, with dark eyes have done a great work, a poem sad, Ethereal and mysterious, but also very real, so at least believe me so.
